The Implications of Mark's Conversion
I've gone into great detail of this in my apologetics book, because it's so useful in the context of a moral argument. But let me just say briefly, it's the exact opposite from Jane's. Mark personifies what Lewis calls the Inner Ring syndrome. He doesn't want to be cast out. This is a happy submission. Heaven is a monarchy, but it's a happy monarchy. God is a king, but he's not like a human tyrant. Conversion is submission, but it'm a happy submission to joy and change in life itself.
