Is LAH a Solid Reducing Agent?

LAH is a pretty strong reducing agent I don't know if allen would do it as well. LAH forms disproportionate in complexes so you end up forming like hydro-illuminate complexes where additional lithium hydroides can add to the aluminum and then they're not as soluble in THFcan they still do reductions yes?
