Is There a Sovereign Wealth Fund?
i'm working on another paper with a colleague at mercatus about this, and all signs point that it might behove the us to set up a sovereign wealth fund. Norway has the sovereignwealth fund they use with their oil resources. This could be a kind of the, you know, the u b i for the masses. You know, maybe f you do want to handid out, you save it for a rainy day. Find a responsible way to use it. One thing I am concerned about is that safe acit demand, lowers yields, and enables congress to spend recklessly sometimes, or without much thought.
