The Benefits of Having a Specific Application in Mind
In 20 years it's hard to fathom that I've been doing this actually even longer than that but I just wouldn't have believed it. The field had such a prejudice against neural nets when I was in grad school like I didn't even know anything about them because my mentors told me not to even bother right and it was really kind of sad in hindsight. Think of all the things that are impossible today you know probably in 20 years five or six of them big ones will be solved, which ones have no idea right? It's really hard to know so yeah the notion that you can just kind of tree code like like strings is also kind of mind-boggling"
