The mayas started building bigger and bigger pyramids. They used more and more plaster on their, on the outside of their pyramids and on their causeways. A lot of that run off a ran back into those large pools of water they depended on for their drinking supply. And it created a like plaster caps, so that all the water in the soil was now not available.
