How Much Cholesterol Is Containing Cell Membranes?

With the current crop of drugs, specifically the PCSK9 inhibitors, we are routinely seeing patients who easily can get an Apo B into the 20 to 40 milligram per deciliter range. That doesn't represent a significant reduction in total body cholesterol. And so far, at least with pharmacologic lowering of Apo B, with the currently FDA approved drugs, there is no signal of harm.
