Cage appeared in his uncle Francis Ford Coppola's film, Rumble Fish. He played a gangster called Mad Dog Dwyer and lived his character even offset. Other movies of this early Cage era include Raising Arizona and Moonstruck with Cher. The actor only agreed to take part if he could play it in an over-the-top manner.
