The Pandemic of Understaffing and Overwork
i don't think we've seen the up surge on labor militancy that many on the left anticipated or hoped for at the beginning of the pandemic. I'm reluctant to make a prediction about it, but i think there is a quite vast array of small scale episodes of confrontation between workers and their employers over overworking conditions in the pendemic. The climate of national emergency makes momentary resistance possible and made sustained resistance very difficult.
