The Importance of Howard Hawks in the Studio System

I think it's interesting that hawks did it in the studio system and after the code it almost becomes impossible to be Howard hawks within the studio system so altman altman had to struggle to get money to make all of his films. He doesn't do any romantic comedy he doesn't do a screwball comedy right he just can't he can't I don't think he can do it there's our hard films to make while  Kubrick is really the hawks is the post- docs but i like altman because you know he does science fiction mccavid mrs miller is his western, for example.
