Pharah's villages are relatively close to the wall separating their lands, so we experience her internal anguish and uncertainty. As for this beast, he's also pretty mysterious at this point. And after a while, we get the first internal experience of what magic is to her. She smells a quote metallic tang and becomes unconscious. And that happens every time magic is around her.
