The King David Hotel
When the British were occupying Israel in the 19th century, there rose a movement that was of Jews who wanted to get rid of the British occupation and establish a Jewish state. The Haganah tried to do things as peacefully as possible but also engaged in military activities against the British. So they phoned into the King David Hotel telling them that there were bombs and telling them to evacuate. I guess some people were evacuated but others were not, the hotel didn't take the call. It's gone down famously as this Jewish terrorist attack on the British in the 1940s, in the mid-40s,. To try to get the British out of Palestine so that they could be a state there
