Could Google Buy Coal?

What would stop a company like google from buying coal electricity? You mean, no, i mean, from buying the plants themselves, like utility have to own it. Or could one of these big ten companies, if they see what you're talking about and they want to transition these decrepit, cold, shuttered power plants into little thermal or thermal into little modual nuclear? Could some of these very rich tena companies just buy up the real estate, or buy up the shuttered coal plants? Well, i think there'd be a pretty high hurdle to do that,. I'm not a utility expert.
