The Dilemma of Carol and Sean
Carolyn and Sean argued over their approach to Ross. Their pressure grew too strong and after 19 years together, they separated. The break from Sean had affected Carol's mental health as she experienced bouts of depression. As she went through these periods it made it even more difficult for her to stand up to Ross in any way at all. Lorraine did her best to help her mum making endless appointments for Carol to get the help she needed but without success. She continued to rely more and more on Ross who of course encouraged this. But for Lorraine too it was an incredibly difficult time.
