What Happened to the People of Israel?

The people of Israel became ascendant and they established a monarchy to lead them. But great wealth has its own secret dangers: It softens you. And so the people of Israel started to get lazy and arrogant. They stopped treating the great God Yahova with such seriousness, began to flirt with pagan gods from the people around them. Until eventually a man appeared among them known as Isaiah. Something happened to Isaiah that was much like what happened to young Jesus Christ. Angels appeared and forced visionary revelations into his mind. The Assyrians came charging down from the north and permanently wiped Israel off the map.
