Gideon: The Son of Joash
Gideon killed the kings of Midian, Ziba and Zaluna. Gideon's Iphod became a snare for all Israel after it was put in his city Ophrare. The men of Israel said to Gideon, Rule over us; but he told them: "The Lord will rule over you" And they lifted up their heads before the sons of Gerubable - no more than forty years later. He died at an old age with seventy-seven children from many concubines.
