The USS Berlin was decommissioned after the Garnum incident. Ayara and Bilal Malcolm had been arguing over whether or not to turn it back into a ship. She hadn't told him about Zig Na'i, but he'd warned her that if she turned it in they would kill him. They sat across from each other in the same bar they'd been meeting in for years.
