The Espionage Act of 1917 - The Love Child of Woodrow Wilson
The Espionage Act of 1917 was the love child of Woodrow Wilson, who wanted a stifle all dissent of him in the devil. It is essentially as broad as the official Secrets Act in England but government never prosecutes that half of it. They always prosecute the leaker, but not the leaky. And I believe the law says they can. It's just the Constitution says they can't.
