Roth 401k - I'm 72 and I Don't Want to Leave Them in My Retirement Accounts

The optimal way to manage this is to max out your 401k every year for 35 years and then right before you hit retirement age and are capable of withdrawing from your Roth you do some sort of business activity that creates a 10 million dollar loss. You move the entirety of your 10 million dollars in your 401k to your Roth that's no tax because you have a 10 milliondollar loss offsetting that income from the distribution rolling it over into a Roth. If you've contributed to a Roth the entire time then you have missed out on an opportunity such as this so and to lesser or greater degrees things like that may occur in your lifetime right and and a good one to google without I don't
