The Psychological Foundations of the Russians

The Russians did this to regular citizens in the countries that they took over as experiments. They picked religious people and nationalists mostly, but some were soldiers who fought against the Red Army. It's because these people had an ideology or they had a constructed personality shaped around feelings of nationalism and religion. Those will stop people from eating up communist ideology. So it would make sense that they were doing some of the same practices but didn't actually share the information.
