For a couple of years, told him to raise a load of money by telling everyone that Steve McQueen would be in it. And Steve McQueen was like, what? I'm not doing it. Then he went after Al Pacino trying to say, oh you know what, I don't worry about it because I've got Al Pacino. It's so ridiculous. He was basically asking to be three months in the fucking jungle and the Filipino jungle as that's really filmed it anyway. The Heart of Darkness is based on Conrad's Heart of Darkness - just transposed across essentially.
