The Role of Attachment in Trauma
After Bolby came Mary Maine who studied the interaction between children and strangers and children and their caregivers with an experiment called the strange situation. She developed these three attachment styles as you said well we noticed there are anxious children and the anxious attachment style which is where you might get really nervous when your caregiver leaves may try to cling or hold on tighter. And then the avoidant attachment is the one who just kind of goes away like I don't care that you're gone I don't notice like I don’t need you kind of thing.
