Some members of the NRA were angry enough to bring rope tar and feathers to Cincinnati. One person who was present said, "It's just like they just have an obsession with this like patriotic forms of old style larping" This is a common political tactic: To frame the violence you want to do as not violence because it’s being done by the government.
