The DC National Guard Delay on January 6th Was the Byproduct of Military Processes, Institutional Caution and a Revision of the Deployment Approval Process

The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee released a report on the January 6th protests in Washington, DC. The panel's findings were largely focused on the preparation and behavior of theDC National Guard. CNN's John Defterios says he was disappointed that questions about where did things go wrong would have been a bigger focus of the report.Defterios: There are some other recommendations that are directed at the Department of Justice but they don't really fit into any sweeping legislative framework.
