Is There Growth for Its Own Sake?
Growth for its own sake is exactly what the global economy relies on. It's such a thing as too much growth, too much money, too much stuff. China and USSR are just as susceptible to ecological destruction as any other capitalist country. But that's also why I would consider those countries to be state capitalist projects.
