The Importance of Americana in the Twilight Zone
"I'm not sure who I am. But I got two dollars and eighty five cents when I'm hungry," says Mike in the first episode of his new TV series, The Twilight Zone. "Nothing says America to a Brit more than a diner with some music playing on the jukebox", adds actor Earl Holleman. Rod Sailing's inspiration for the story was when he walked out onto an old studio set of a town and it was deserted. This is very much what we're seeing here.
