For every one % rise in the gd p, two million people come out of poverty. The official statistics showed that we were much more equal at the time. But that wasn't a good thing. It reflected a country that was almost entirely poor, not tha. One of my pet bugbers is how ple nowadays are following the fashion of the times, will use a word inequality when what they mean is poverty.
