The History of the Zeltban

My favourite piece of German equipment which I can't believe no one does today in gaudy colours and seldom does it as a festival thing is the Zeltban. It's not bad shelter, Ponschur, Kumbake if you have enough of them. Just absolutely baffles me because it's such a brilliant design. They did make multi-part tents as early as the First World War out of something like a Zeltban but it wasn't until 1931 that somebody had the bright idea of printing them all with a camouflage design.
