Issuing CBDCs on Blockchains?

Long term option number three was issuing CBDCs on many blockchains and having them be centrally originated from from a central bank. Maximize the level of innovation, rely on private companies to make your entire new ecosystem possible. That's such a weird thing to have though. For a consumer to have a direct relationship with a central bank, I don't know if things were designed for that direct relationship. It was designed to have intermediaries like commercial entities, their customer is the consumer and they have a profit motive but central banks don't have that.
