Are We More Valuable as a Human Than a Five Year Old Child?

I think that we do all have equal worth, which is the intrinsicness of it. But we don't all have the same value because we're not all performing at the same level. So then what logic follows for me though is let's say I have a five year old son who I believe has incredible amount of worth and potential value. And this is where people start to have, this is where that, that lowercase P political comes in.
