DeepMind technology can learn from itself. It doesn't work the way traditional computers and algorithms work, where a human programs them with what they think the algorithm should be. In this case, AI is kind of effectively creating its own algorithm, but in a mysterious way that you never truly know. I mean, maybe I watched too much science fiction, but I thought we had computers that knew how to do that already.
