In Queensland we have the Crime and Corruption Commission. They oversee any of those issues where there's a death in police custody as it's defined. New South Wales has law enforcement conduct commission which overviews and monitors critical incidents. One of those use of force reports are examined by local committees. So they do capture the data internally. What we don't see is that data being made available publicly. Perhaps the police services could consider opening up the use of force reporting and making that more appropriate.
