To delight a customer, you must understand what they need better than they do. People are not locked into contracts like they used to be. You stop delighting customers, and you will hear about it. Are you willing to be obsessed with your customerness? Sometimes domain expertise in your industry is really helpful. So if you were in the transportation business, or the hotel business, look for domain expertise. If you don't have any Domain Expertise at all, well, why would it be terrible?
