Paliative Care - The Concept of Surgery

The concept of surgical byon is that when a patient agrees to an operation, the surgeon then takes that agreement as also an implicit agreement to undergo any treatment. And so because a patient says that they will have surgery, they consent to surgery. In the surgeon's mind, that also means that they consent to post operative mechanical ventilation, post operative feeding and hemodialysis. So i think this, these journal articles and this podgass is just kind of open my eyes to really take a look and see how, regardless of what specialty you choose, there will be opportunities, if you are comfortable and takeaane of them.
