The Effects of Peer Groups on Eating Disorders

There have been other epidemics of socially contagious phenomena mainly involving females. Is it the theory that boys are less susceptible to this kind of peer influence? The natal females had a two year earlier onset of their, let's say, gender dysphoria compared with the natal males.
