The Future of Prompt Injection
Simon: I think this is going to make things worse in that prompt injection is kind of doesn't matter if you're just playing with a chat bot that can't actually do anything. It only becomes dangerous when you hook them up to functions that let them do things in the world. GPT-4 is better at system prompts than 3.5, it just means that prompt injection hacks are a little bit harder to pull off. You have to be a little bit more devious with them.
