i was really surprised at how organic the sound sources were on a lot of the stuff, because it felt like it was deliberately meant to compete in the dance music space and sort of thumb its nose in some way. It's less about sort of throwing it away in the moment and much more about crafting and capturing completely crafted sounds. i'm certainly not an expert in classical music, from what i know, though, it's like, as it evolves, similar to jas, it got more and more esoteric, generally.
