Music supervisors Buck Damon and Amanda Sheer Demi also worked on the epic soundtrack to Garden State as well as Mean Girls. The scene where Jason Seagull's character Nick does his Saturday Night Fever style disco dance was actually choreographed by the person who did the real John Travolta's dance on Saturday Night Fever. Lindsay's decision to become a deadhead and follow the band around the country was literally a spur of the moment decision made by Apatel and Feig after being mid-season rumblings that their show was in trouble. They were able to secure a first ever TV sink from Billy Joel for Rosalinda's eyes.
