The Best Places to Visit in Rome

The Villa de Est is a Renaissance era villa created by a cardinal who desperately wanted to be Pope. The other one also in Tivoli just outside of town is Hadrian's Villa. You can see the hills from within Rome quite easily, and there are two things up there that are both world heritage sites. And I would go to at least one of the catacombs, which dot the entire city of Rome.
