If your app is sort of in its own ecosystem and it's just syncing data between maybe if somebody has an iPad and an iPhone, that's where I think something like CloudKit makes complete sense. You can easily sync data between your devices without having to do much with adding data models. With WordPress, you can install a plugin in your site and totally change how the site works. So that also changes the API and we have to be a lot more defensive of APIs. And that also translates to our model on disk. We can't make a field required in every case because it's possible that a field doesn't exist on someone else's site.
