The Importance of Partnerships in European Industrial Policy

The European Commission's Horizon 2020 program aims to benchmark Europe for competitiveness and innovation. The project involved a strategic co-design process involving over 7,000 stakeholders which guide now the priorities for our work programs. It started with a number of partnerships to help industry address long-term strategic objectives. Public funding can play an important role in facilitating longer-term risk investment by private players.
