The Role of Music and Art in Evoking Trauma
There's an a priori thing that happens before you bring the people together. You build a community of practitioners that do their deep healing work with one another so that they have a field of transparency, unguardedness, refined compassion for pain and an ability to stay in the heat of darkness right? The arc of the week is the first two days are as you would imagine - just the arriving phase. In Otto Scharmers model this is when you're coming down towards the center of the U process. So you have to help people to drop the shield and hack consciously the social norms of small talk and not feeling. We've learned because organizations tell us feelings aren't welcome here.
