There are certain systems that are preferentially associated with different kinds of stimuli and so forth. Those same stimuli give rise to our experiences and the responses. The things are correlated because they're triggered by the same stimulus, but they're triggered in parallel. So I think that that's something we need to think a lot about because there's as important implications for medications to develop"
