China and AI

There's a lot that you end up learning when you look at the intersection of China and AI, one part of which is like the way China funds things. You've got an environment where people are bathing in cash because the government wants to throw money at this. And then another dimension of this too is fraud. So we've seen the Chinese semiconductor industry struggle to get off the ground, partly because so many of these giant multi-billion dollar investments end up evaporating due to fraud. Yeah, I think it reminds me if you've seen some discussions of this in this podcast over the years where there have been discussions of the AI race between the US and China.
