Gnome's New Windowing System

By default each app would open in its ideal size without overlapping over other windows which would just move out of the way. If you don't like that you can still manually tile them and probably disable the new windowing system entirely if you don’t like it. It seems pretty flexible and pretty nice some sort of like the auto tiling in popOS But more like an auto floating which automatically places windows in the right place with the right size. I think it looks really cool and in usual gnome fashion They want to do some user research to confirm this would work for users how to implement it.
