The fourth chapter of my book is all about measurement. There's a kind of centural fallacy in our culture that if you can measure enough things, you can control them. Only strictly unidimensional characteristics can really be measured in an objective way. When people see numbers, they are immediately under the illusion that they see facts. But that's not true at all. Most numbers simply or ext subjective interpretations of facts.
