The concept of evidence based medicine really only dates to the early nineties. The rational clinical exam is a series of articles in the journal of the american medical association, and it was called the rational clinical exam series. And so they hav gone through many, many, many different types of physical examples. They've broadened it a bit now to look at eno history taking and some other stuff too. But it was really part of the rational behind evidence base medicine, whichas were doing these sutenin exams, do they actually work or not?
