Is There a Cardinal Rule?
It's hard because there's no cardinal rule, right? It's just kind of like the other topics we've had here today. Are they a necessity to operate and maintain this application? Or are they really just fluff that make you feel comfortable that you could open a log and see that data if you wanted to? The number of times I've seen applications that are heavy on the logging side and nobody ever looks at the logs is probably the better majority of applications I've worked on.
