Historical Theology and Systematic and Analytic Theology
Good theology, at least of any sort of retrievalis varieties, is going to rely heavily on good historical theology. But the task of systematic and analytic theology isn't reducible to the historical project. The very language of classical theism needs a good bit of further clarification. Phrases like social trinitarianism need a deal more conceptional hygiene before they're going to be very helpful to us. And i'm willing to do some more to day.
