The Importance of a Secure Mining Protocol
The main motivation for creating V2, from my perspective, or from our perspectives as brains, was that we want to solve our own problem. We looked at the current protocol and were like, this is not usable. So no more plain text. Everything has to be encrypted and signed. Still a little bit of the hash rate without you noticing. And on the minor side requires running additional piece of infrastructure as well.
