The Lord Your God Sets Before You This Day a Blessing and a Curse
Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse. The Lord your God will lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that you shall tread as He promised you. Are they not beyond the Jordan, west of the road toward the going down of the sun in the land of the Canaanites who live in the Arabah? O Lord, how long shall the wicked exult? They pour out their arrogant words, they boast all the evil doers...They slay the widow and the sojourner and murder the fatherless."
